Recent world events have led to unprecedented levels of illness — both physical and emotional. Despite all the suffering, God is able and willing to heal us. Jesus Himself revealed that healing was a large part of the ministry He came to deliver to us (Luke 4:18). The role of the church and in particular those called to the ministry of intercession is to continue the mission of petitioning Heaven that God’s will be manifested in the earth.
That’s why we’ve decided to dedicate the first part of our year to seeking God in prayer, and we hope you will too.

Ways to Powerfully Pray for Healing
- Quiet Your Heart – First, begin my removing yourself from the distractions of your busy life. We recommend that you find a quiet place where you can sit in God’s presence. In His presence, you will find an audience with the one who loves you more than anyone else. He is able to silence every fear and comfort your heavy heart.
- Worship God – While communing with your Heavenly Father, open your prayer with worship. Worship is not just an act of reverence; it helps us place God in the right perspective. He is Lord above all, including sickness, disease, and calamity.
- Surrender to the Will of God – Human prayer is about bending our will to God’s and not the reverse. Jesus showed us the perfect model for prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane when He prayed for God’s will to be done above His own (Mark 14:36). Release your control over the issues of your life and surrender them to the loving care of God, trusting that He is able to work in every situation work for your good (Romans 8:28).
- Focus Your Prayer – There is no rule that says that you can’t pray for something more than once. You can come to God throughout the day with the same prayer need. We like to petition Heaven until we know we have fully surrerendered our prayer need to God.
- End in Thanksgiving – Being thankful to God shouldn’t feel like an obligation. It’s something that should naturally flow from your heart when you think about all that He’s done for you and all that He will do for you in the future.
